Shape Up, Sir Humphrey....

As a follow up to yesterday's blog, found an interesting series on BBC Radio 4 that directly addresses the problems facing cabinet government and the civil service in the UK. "Shape up, Sir Humphrey" (again, making reference to the central character in Yes, Minister) is a three part series that, whether planned or not, is coming to an end just as the controversy over the operations of the Labour government under Blair/Brown is coming to a head. It helps to know a bit about the British system and some of the players to make sense of the issues and debate, but well worth the listen so far -- the final part airs on Thursday night, GMT....
